Feature

Route calls based on who's calling

Drop a Caller ID node into any flow to send VIPs straight to a person, or known spammers straight to /dev/null.

A new Caller ID node in the call flow designer matches incoming calls against a list of phone numbers (with wildcards) and branches the route accordingly.

What this lets you do

  • VIP routing — match a customer's number, send the call straight past the IVR to a specific extension.
  • Quiet hours — match the boss's number, forward to their cell after 5pm.
  • Blacklist — match a known spammer, hang up or send to a deflection message.
  • Wildcard prefixes — block an entire area code, or allow only a region.

Setup

  1. Drag the Caller ID Match node into a flow.
  2. Add phone numbers to the match list — exact, prefix (555*), or full number.
  3. Wire two outputs: one for "matched", one for "no match".
  4. Save.

Worth knowing

Match runs before the IVR plays, so VIPs don't have to listen to a menu. Combined with the Time Schedule node, you can route the same caller differently on Tuesday at 3pm vs. Saturday at 10pm.
