Feature
Find me, follow me — without the chase
Ring your desk, then your cell, then an external number — in any order, with voicemail catching the rest.
Each extension can now be configured with a chain of fallback destinations that ring in sequence (or all at once) when the primary line doesn't pick up. Voicemail catches anything that falls through.
What this lets you do
- Define an ordered list of destinations: another extension, a mobile, an external number, or a SIP URI.
- Pick a strategy:
- Simultaneous — every destination rings at once; first to answer wins.
- Sequential — try one at a time, with a per-leg timeout.
- Choose a No Answer Action: send to voicemail (default), play a message, or hang up.
- Per-destination ring timeouts so a slow cell doesn't block the chain.
Setup
- Open an extension's settings.
- Toggle Find Me / Follow Me on.
- Add destinations in the order you want them tried.
- Pick simultaneous or sequential.
- Save.
Worth knowing
The cascade is built in dialplan, not bridge-and-pray — that means each leg respects its own caller-ID rules, no NAT surprises, and voicemail still works at the end if everything else fails to answer.
